About usAbout us The Hollywood NOTE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to further promote and contribute to the global philanthropic endeavors of the Hollywood community. For over one hundred years, Hollywood has used its power to promote philanthropy around the world. Today, HNF aspires to maximize and recognize that power, and to change the world as it exists now. Through its premier fundraising effort, the Change the World Humanitarian Awards Gala, HNF will bestow honors upon those Hollywood entities that do the most to improve our world. Our organization The Four abbreviated letters that comprise one third the title of the foundation, NOTE, also comprise the duty that Hollywood has accepted on its behalf:Not On This Earth. Not On This Earth: should people go hungryNot On This Earth: should disease killNot On This Earth: should a child be without a parent Not On This Earth: should a person be without a homeNot On This Earth: should our environment be exploited NOTE 1) To contribute and distribute, through grants and donations, to other nonprofit organizations and to those in need as connected and related to philanthropic and humanitarian activities that relate to: Hunger, Catastrophic Disease, Child related causes, the Homeless and Global Environmental protection.2) To recognize outstanding achievements by conferring annual awards of distinctive merit (Change the World Humanitarian Awards), serving as perpetual incentive within the Hollywood philanthropic world and to introduce those not yet involved in it’s importance. 3) To distribute grants and contributions.4) Ultimately, to focus wide public attention upon the most of deserving causes. Shelly Preston has worked in the entertainment industry for over 16 years. Her producing credits include documentaries, television programs and feature films. Implementing the skills she gained in those endeavors, Shelly began to produce award galas for various non-profit organizations. Using the power and influence of Hollywood, she helped to generate millions of dollars in charitable fundraising. Working with such icons as Jamie Lee Curtis, Katie Couric, Tyra Banks, Nancy Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger, Shelly witnessed first-hand just how a few individuals can change the world. Now, Shelly brings us a new vision. Her passion for humanity has driven her to put the spotlight on the Hollywood philanthropic community.
